Or Or , おいし (Black black, oishi)

Those who know me well would definitely know that I love food with black soya sauce. The darker the better ! FYI, there isn't any store selling the black soya sauce in Shanghai. I was looking high and low from Walmart, Lotus, Carrefour to Citishop, and no sign at all. Thus, I managed to bring back a bottle when my last trip back for CNY and I am so glad with it. :D

Here my favourite dish with black soya sauce, Or Bak with Potatoes , oishi !!!!

My Beloved Braised Chicken with Potato - 薯仔鸡

Long time ago when I studied in Perth, my housemate used to cook a dish called 薯仔鸡. It's one of my favourite. As I am picking my cooking now, I tried to recall how she cooked this dish. Apparently, it still turned out GOOD without any recipe reference. Ha! Yen Yen, can you see it?

I fried the garlic and small onion, subsequently with the chicken and potato awhile. Then, put into a pot, add some water, oyster sauce, dark soya sauce and sugar. Small heat until the chicken is cooked.

Today I went to Yaohan's grocery to have a walk. In fact, grocery shopping is one of my favorite past time. I always like to "ke poh" with things so normally when I shop there, I like to go one row by one row to see their products. They always have vast variety of products from all sorts of countries, I am amazed and sometimes even shock with their pricing, super duper expensive. Next time if got chance, maybe I can curi to take some pictures. By the way, see what I've got myself today - one of my favorite junks when in Malaysia but this is China Made, YAN YAN. Muakakaka. And the one on the right it's my new found babe, it's taste good as well and I bought from Carrefour yesterday. Hehe Oppsss I need to watch my diet already.
